Description of Duties
Provides superior quality customer service and a positive experience for all North Alamo Water Supply Corporation customers and visitors. Explains privileges and obligations of membership to customers, troubleshoots customer complaints, and provides various other information to customers or potential customers. Takes applications for new service or transferring memberships. Sends out letters of cancellation to customers, revises existing certificate of records and notifies customers of past due accounts. Prepares work orders for new installations and reinstallations. Prepares all state and local documentation as is required for cross roads and bores. Assists in the record keeping of both account and meter information for subdivisions on pre-paid memberships and for new customers. Coordinates with the Construction department regarding subdivisions and special projects within the system. Participates in job specific training, and other various required corporate training programs. Complies with federal and state regulations and all established corporate policies and procedures. Other duties as may be assigned.Job Requirements
A self-starting individual who possesses a High School Diploma or GED and at least six months prior experience in a new accounts or customer service capacity is required. Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills are essential. Skills should include typing, PC, 10-key calculator, and ability to operate a multi-line telephone console. Must possess good written and oral communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Problem solving and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Visual and mental concentration are necessary for accurately performing tasks, working at a computer for long periods of time in a fast paced environment and handling frequent interruptions. Position requires extended periods of sitting in front of a computer and requires the ability to frequently lift/move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally up to 25 lbs. Must be bilingual (verbal and written) in English and Spanish.Preferences
One year prior experience working at a water supply corporations or public utility in a new accounts or customer service capacity is preferred.Application
