Description of Duties
Responsible for the overall management of the daily operations by working with management to formulate and administer corporate policies involving field operations, plant operations, meter reader operations and construction. Studies methods of improving work measurements or performance standards. Prepares various reports including conclusions and recommendations for solution of administrative problems for departments. Issues and interprets water operating policies and procedures. Serves in the capacity of Water Conservation Coordinator and Risk Manager for the corporation. Serves as a member of management committees for special studies as needed. Participates in job specific training, and other various required corporate training programs. Complies with federal and state regulations and all established corporate policies and procedures. Other duties as may be assigned.Job Requirements
A self-starting individual who possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Business or another related discipline as relevant to the position. At least 8 years of prior working experience as a Water Plant Operator with at least four of those in a management or supervisory capacity. Must have current Class B license through Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Relevant work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement. . Knowledge of all current laws and regulations regarding the water industry is required. PC literacy and knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software are required. Must have demonstrated problem solving skills. Flexibility, professionalism, ability to work in a highly stressful environment, and perform a variety of tasks with numerous interruptions is essential. Attention to detail and a high degree of mental concentration are required. Good organizational, interpersonal and communications (oral and written) skills are required in order to effectively communicate with employees, management, the board of directors and the public. Problem solving and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential. Must have a current Texas driver’s license and be insurable by the Corporations Insurance Company. Must be able to occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs., and frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs. Position requires the employee to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Must be fluent (verbal and written) in English.Preferences
Class A license through TCEQ is preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.Application
