Description of DutiesResponsible for cleaning and maintaining the interior of the corporate office. Duties include vacuuming and mopping floors; Cleans debris from sidewalk, and in/around the building as needed; Cleans and disinfects restrooms; Collects and discards trash; and orders and maintains necessary supplies, materials and cleaning equipment. Notifies Office Manager of any repairs or maintenance needed as observed. Will assist in the setup and cleanup of the board room and other areas for meetings, seminars, etc. as needed. Observes all safety standards and precautions; Participates in job specific training, and other various required corporate training programs. Complies with federal and state regulations and all established corporate policies and procedures. Other duties as may be assigned.
Job RequirementsA self-starting individual who has completed up to the 9th grade of high school. Must have at least one year of prior work experience in a custodial position. Must be skilled in the use of custodial materials and chemicals and in the operation of vacuum cleaners, buffers, wet and dry pick-ups, automatic scrubbers, and related custodial equipment. Good problem-solving skills and solid decision making, effective communication, prioritization and organization of work activities. Must be bilingual in both English and Spanish (reading and writing) in order to comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) on cleansers, chemicals, and other containers. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Must be flexible to work between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and occasional weekends as needed.
PreferencesA high school diploma or GED is preferred.
