Special Board Meeting
A Special Meeting of the Board of Directors of North Alamo Water Supply Corporation will be held at 1:00p.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at the Main Office located at 420 S. Doolittle Road, Edinburg, Texas. At that time the following items will be considered for approval: AGENDA 01. Call Meeting to Order. The North Alamo Water Supply Corporation reserves the right to adjourn into Executive Session at any time to discuss any of the matters listed below in accordance with Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code, Vernon’s Civil Statutes, Subchapter D, as it pertains to private consultation with the Corporation’s attorneys (§551.071) or personnel matters (§551.074). THE BELOW LISTED ITEMS MAY BE DISCUSSED AND ACTED UPON, IF APPROPRIATE IN OPEN SESSION. 02. Approval of Minutes for August 10, 2010. 03. The Board will enter into Executive Session according to Tex. Newsletter – As of 12/31/05
During this past year we continued to grow at a fast pace. Membership grew from 28,857 members as of 12/31/04 to 30,643 members as of 12/31/05, an increase of 1,786 members. During 2005 we completed construction on the Emergency Interconnect Project-Phase 2 which was funded by the Texas Water Development Board. This project provides a more dependable raw water connection to the Delta Lake Irrigation District for two of Corporation's water treatment plants. Also, construction began on the Willacy Co. Empowerment Zone Project which should be completed sometime this spring. Construction should begin on the Hidalgo Co. Empowerment Zone Project Phase I sometime this summer. Last year we began building a 2 million gallon per day reverse osmosis treatment plant in Cameron Co. This plant is a joint project with the East Rio Hondo WSC and the City of Primera. During 2006, we should complete the construction of two - 3 million gallon per day reverse osmosis treatment plants, both located in Hidalgo Co. During 2005, we purchased a tract of land that will be the site for the North Weslaco wastewater project.
